Product description

The Hunthouse G-Control is a hard bait minnow lure measuring 95mm and weighing 28g. It is a sinking bait, built for saltwater use and often fished for trout. It comes in eight color options (002, 001, 006, 005, 004, 003, 010, 007).

Because it sinks, you can count it down to the depth you want before starting your retrieve. A twitch-and-pause retrieve lets the bait fall and dart on the pause, which can trigger strikes from fish holding at different depths in the water column.

How to fish it

  1. Cast out and let the lure sink to your target depth before retrieving, counting down if needed to fish a consistent depth.
  2. Use a twitch-pause retrieve, letting the bait sink and glide on each pause.
  3. Vary the length of the pause to see what triggers strikes on a given day.
  4. Work the lure along structure or drop-offs where fish are holding at depth.
