Transparency Statement

Who we are

Glenmore is an independent online tackle shop. It is a small, owner-run business, not a manufacturer, not a big-box retailer, and not a storefront for a single brand. Our mailing address is 620 Glenmore Blvd, Glendale, CA 91206, United States. You can reach a real person at hello@glenmorefishing.com or +1 (424) 414-2040.

The store opened in 2026, so we are new. We would rather tell you that than pretend to a history we do not have.

Where your order ships from

This is the part most stores like ours leave out, so we will be direct about it: most Glenmore orders ship directly from our suppliers' warehouses in China to your address. We do not hold this inventory in the United States. When you place an order, we pass it to the supplier who makes the lure, and they dispatch it to you.

That single fact explains almost everything else about how we operate:

  • It is why delivery takes 8 to 13 business days to the US and Canada, and 13 to 23 business days to the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Those windows are the total wait from the moment you order, including the time the supplier takes to prepare and dispatch. There is no separate processing time stacked on top.
  • It is why shipping is free and prices are low. We are not paying for a US warehouse, domestic distribution, or a retail markup chain. We pass that saving on instead of charging for shipping.
  • It is why a return can take a while. See the returns section below.
  • It is why your parcel may arrive in supplier packaging rather than branded Glenmore packaging.

Some parcels for international orders may be routed through a forwarding facility, so the origin shown on your tracking may not always read "China". The manufacturing origin is unchanged.

Who actually makes our tackle

We do not design or manufacture lures. We stock tackle from Chinese manufacturers who produce good freshwater and saltwater lures at a fraction of premium-brand pricing, including Hunthouse, Kingdom, Bearking, TSUYOKI and Tsurinoya, alongside SeaKnight, JOHNCOO, Meredith and LEYDUN.

These are value brands, not premium Japanese or American tackle. Some of their designs are clearly influenced by well-known lures from other makers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a distributor for any premium brand, and we do not sell our tackle as anyone else's. If a listing ever names a brand that did not make the product, that is a mistake and we want to hear about it.

A few items are genuinely unbranded factory products. Those are listed as "Unbranded" rather than given a name we made up.

Where we ship

We currently ship to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We are not able to accept orders from other countries at checkout right now. Shipping is free to all five, with tracking, and there is no minimum order.

For orders outside the United States, any import duties or taxes are set by your country and are the recipient's responsibility. We do not collect them at checkout and cannot predict them.

Product photos and descriptions

Our product photos come from the manufacturer. We edit them to remove cluttered backgrounds, supplier watermarks and on-image text so the listings look consistent, but the lure itself is never altered. These are not photographs we took ourselves, and we do not claim otherwise.

Colours can render differently between screens, and factory colour codes vary between production runs, so treat the colour images as a close guide rather than an exact match.

We write listings from the supplier's own product data: length, weight, buoyancy and lure type. If you receive something that does not match its listing, tell us and we will correct the listing and make it right for you.

Reviews

We do not display customer reviews yet, because we have not earned enough of them to be worth showing. We previously carried reviews imported from a supplier catalogue. Those were not our customers' reviews, so we removed all of them. When real Glenmore customers start leaving feedback, that is what you will see here, good and bad.

Returns

You can return an item within 30 days of delivery. It should be unused and in its original packaging. Email us first and we will send you the correct return address, which depends on the item and may be international.

Return shipping is arranged and paid for by you. We do not provide prepaid return labels. There is no restocking fee. Once your return arrives and is checked, we refund to your original payment method within 5 business days.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or is simply not what you ordered, that is on us. Send a photo and your order number and we will replace it or refund you. In most of those cases we will not ask you to ship anything back.

Because return postage to the supplier can cost more than a low-priced lure is worth, please contact us before returning anything so we can tell you the sensible option.

How to reach us

Email hello@glenmorefishing.com or call +1 (424) 414-2040. We reply to every message, usually within one business day. If something here is unclear or looks wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Glenmore's Transparency Statement actually cover?

It explains how we source our tackle, how we price products, and how shipping costs are calculated so nothing shows up as a surprise fee at checkout. It also covers how we handle customer data and reviews on the site. Basically it's a plain-language rundown of how we operate, not legal boilerplate.

Does Glenmore disclose where its lures and tackle are manufactured?

Yes, we list country of origin on product pages where it's available from the manufacturer, since a lot of anglers care whether a bait is made in the US, Japan, or elsewhere. If a supplier hasn't confirmed that detail we say so rather than guessing. Check the Transparency Statement page for the general policy and individual product listings for specifics.

Why is free worldwide shipping mentioned in the Transparency Statement?

We wanted to be upfront that the shipping cost isn't hidden or padded into product prices differently by region, so a angler in Australia or the UK pays the same listed price as someone in the US. The statement lays out that shipping is genuinely free with no minimum order threshold. It's there so customers don't have to dig through terms and conditions to confirm it.

Is the Transparency Statement the same as Glenmore's return policy?

No, they're separate pages. The Transparency Statement covers sourcing, pricing honesty, and business practices, while returns and warranty claims on rods, reels, and tackle are handled under a dedicated returns policy. Both are linked in the site footer if you need specifics on either.
