How to fish it
- Cast past the target area and let the bait settle for a second before starting your retrieve.
- Use a twitch-pause cadence, snapping the rod tip and letting the bait glide and sink briefly on slack line.
- Slow the retrieve and lengthen pauses in cold water or when bass are following without committing.
- Work it along grass lines, laydowns, and points where baitfish stage, watching for strikes on the pause.
